Appointments

Appointments can be made via the telephone on 01825 766055 or for a routine GP appointment, these can also be booked online (please follow link to our Online Access page. Please also note the below regarding timing of routine GP telephone appointments.

If booking a routine telephone appointment time between 7.30am and 12.30pm, patients should expect to receive a telephone call the day of their appointment before 1.00pm. Patients booking an appointment between 2.00pm and 6.30pm should expect to receive a telephone call in the afternoon before 7.00pm.

Patients should keep their telephones with them and switched on as the GP will not be able to keep trying to reach you in the event that you do not answer your telephone.

Patients using the online booking system should record a brief reason for their call in the "Reasons" box.

Obtaining an appointment

Our appointment line is open Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 6.00pm (except Wednesdays between 1.00pm and 2.00pm).

We offer pre-bookable appointments, usually well within two weeks ahead for a doctor and twelve weeks ahead for a nurse or for blood tests. Please ensure that a separate appointment is made for each person who needs to be seen.

If you do not need your appointment please cancel it before the allotted time. An appointment not attended means someone else has been unable to use that appointment slot.

If you would like to benefit from our text reminder service please see the receptionists. We will just need to take your mobile number from you for this.

Urgent Appointments

The Urgent Care Clinic is for urgent medical matters that cannot wait until the next routine appointment. This Clinic is run by our experienced Paramedic Practitioners and is supported by the Duty Doctor. Please see below for information.

Urgent Care Clinic

Our Paramedics work Monday to Friday and have bookable telephone appointments which are available throughout the day.

When calling please give the receptionist your contact details and some information about your condition and they will ensure that you are either given a same day appointment or are contacted by a Clinician within a few hours. You are asked to keep close to your phone.

If the Clinician feels you need to be seen on the day then they will invite you to come to the surgery at a specific time. Please be aware that you may be asked to come in at short notice.

Please note: All appointment times given are approximate, whether this is for a telephone call or a face to face appointment. We try to ensure that our Urgent Care Clinic runs to time however if we have an emergency this can impact on the waiting time.

GP appointments can still be booked in advance for routine matters.

We welcome any feedback, good or bad, as we are always looking at ways in which we can improve. As a Practice we strive to provide the best possible service for our patients.

Acute Emergencies

In the event of an acute (life-threatening) emergency, you should of course dial 999 for an emergency ambulance.
