Carers

If you look after a relative or friend who can’t look after themselves, formally or informally, then please let the surgery know. We may be able to help.

Caring for a relative or friend is a wonderful and rewarding thing to do but can also be a lonely and isolating experience. If you have noticed that you are feeling more stressed or less happy than usual and need some support please get in touch with the surgery on 01825 766055 and book a routine GP appointment to discuss your needs. We are committed to helping you maintain your own health as well as helping you care.

Did you know that as an unpaid Carer you are entitled to a free NHS flu jab to protect yourself and those you care for?

We are currently booking patients in to receive their flu jab, give us a call to book your free vaccination today.

We offer a range of appointment times at the Meads Medical Centre which may help you to access our services at a time that suits you better. We are also working alongside the Improved Access Service to offer evening and weekend appointments.

Care for the carers is a local charitable organisation that supports carers across East Sussex. Their team can offer practical or emotional support face to face, online or by telephone.

Care for the cares run a number of different support groups. Apart from the 'Young Adult Support Group' there is no need to book a place, if you are a Carer you are welcome to just turn up.
